OTI is delighted to introduce this 2YO son of So You Think.  He is out of Sea Claria, a daughter of Sinndar.

This son of So You Think has many similarities to his sire. He is a beautifully-proportioned colt, possesses a strong hind-quarter and gallops effortlessly. Since his purchase, he has done nothing but impress those who have educated him. He is poised to race as a 2yo, with the classics as a 3yo his objective. It is then likely that he will head to Australia.

Ideally, we would like him to have two or three runs in his two-year-old year prior to light work during winter (Europeans do not spell their colts). He will experience a far better winter than those horses based in Chantilly or Normandy as the south of France has a climate more akin to that of the southern states in Australia.

As a 3yo, the horse will be given every chance to be ready for the 3yo classics. The first of these is the Guineas in May over 1600m. That is followed by the Prix d’ Jockey Club in June over 2100m. To be in this race, he would need to win one reasonable quality race at some stage either as a 2yo or early in the 3yo season.

Following his 3yo career in France, it is planned that the horse will move to Australia. Hopefully, he will be good enough to come through with the Spring Carnival horses in October 2019. Otherwise, he will be shipped across at the most convenient and practical time having regard to his racing development and success.

The colt is placed with Simone Brogi, regarded as one of the most talented, if not the most talented, young trainer in France. As an Italian, he first worked for his grand-father in Italy prior to moving across as the assistant to France’s top trainer Jean-Claude Rouget. Rouget has won more races than anyone in the history of French racing.

Simone trains from his own base just outside of Pau in the South West of France. He continues to enjoy the mentorship of Jean-Claude Rouget. Although good friends, they are fierce competitors.

This colt has it all – ability, breeding, conformation and soundness. He represents an ideal acquisition for those wanting a horse that may provide excitement and financial reward for many years.
