OTI is delighted to introduce this 3YO gelded son of Roc de Cambes named Vin de Dance.

This striking individual is trained by Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman.  This combination dominated the ATC Carnival in the autumn of 2017.  They won both the Derby (with Jon Snow) and the Oaks (with Bonneval).  They will again have a strong hand in the various 2017/18 Derbies.  Vin de Dance is amongst their top chances.

In April, Vin de Dance concluded his first preparation following an impressive barrier trial at Waipa (see vision below – Vin de Dance is in blue and yellow vertical panels). He missed the start, but mustered speed to race on pace.  He quickened at the top of the straight and was not knocked around to the line in running second.  Given this was an 850m trial it was pleasing to see him show such ability.

Now back in work preparing for his spring 3YO campaign, Vin de Dance has had a further two trials.  He won his most recent trial at Avondale on Tuesday August 21.  He led from go to whoa, in wet conditions that he handled but did not enjoy.  He will be better again on top of the ground.

Andrew Forsman has a strong opinion of Vin de Dance, stating “
He thrived during his spell and returned to our main training base in great order. Vin de Dance is a lovely horse that possesses the breeding, temperament and movement we would expect to see in a quality, middle distance/staying type.”

Vin de Dance is now ready to go to the races in the coming weeks.  Please contact the office if you have an interest in racing this gelding with us.
