We are delighted to introduce an impressive two-year-old gelding by the outstanding stallion Proisir, purchased from the 2025 NZB Ready to Run Sale. Standing an imposing 16.2 hands, he was among the most physically striking horses in the catalogue and impressed all who inspected him.

Throughout his breeze-up, the gelding lengthened effortlessly, showing a fluent, balanced action at the gallop. Physically, he presents as the complete package: deep-girthed, correct, masculine in type, and blessed with a lovely galloping stride.

His pedigree further strengthens confidence in his long-term prospects. Proisir, standing for $70,000 this season, continues to cement his position among Australasia’s elite stallions, renowned for producing tough, high-class performers who train on.

To complement his physical and pedigree strengths, the gelding will join the highly respected partnership of Roger James and Robert Wellwood. OTI’s association with this stable has produced excellent results, highlighted by the rise of Group-performed stayer Mark Twain. With only 40-50 horses in work, it is a stable focused on a quality-over-quantity philosophy.

Purchased as a colt, he was gelded post-sale in a straightforward procedure to maximise his long-term racing potential. He is currently enjoying a well-earned break and is expected to return to work early in the new year. He profiles as a quality miler-to-2000m type, capable of progressing into feature three-year-old races.

A 5% interest in this imposing gelding is priced at NZ$9,640 + GST. This figure covers all purchase and sale-related expenses, all costs to January 31, 2026, and insurance cover through to July 31, 2026.
