When it comes to breeding, athletic quality and value, Ossified is a standout.
Given that he is trained by Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr (the trainers of Ayrton, considered one of Australia’s best 4yo’s, and rising OTI star I’m Thunderstruck), the colt’s owners can have confidence that they will be involved in a youngster who will be given every chance to excel as a racehorse.
Ossified is now in his second full-racing stable preparation with Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr. The stable is very happy with his development and progress as outlined in the above video from Mick on September 18.
At around 15.3 hands, the colt moves fluently, is perfectly balanced and possesses an excellent temperament. Physically, the colt has the development to be considered an excellent racing prospect as a 2yo and holds Magic Millions race series eligibility.
By Group One winner and first-year sire Hellbent, a son of I Am Invincible, key judges are already talking of him as a potential top stallion. Colourmegal, the colt’s dam, is a daughter of champion stallion Galileo, plus she is from a multiple group winning family, being the three-quarter sister to Group One placegetter, Aloft. This is also the family of Le Juge, known well to us at OTI.
With all costs paid until October 31, 2021, as well as insurance cover in place to July 31, 2022, at $6,400 plus GST for a 5% interest, this colt is great value.
