Owned by OTI since acquired as a foal, this athletic gelding has been given plenty of time to mature before being put into work. As a result, the features that encouraged his purchase initially have further developed to now produce a lovely individual.

At 15.3 hands, he is a well-conformed, fluent walker. He possesses a great temperament and his trainer, Mitch Freedman has described him as a “Nice, athletic mover who has all the makings of a nice stayer”.

Penseur is by So You Think, the sire of OTI’s ATC Derby winner Quick Thinker, as well as Group 1 winners D’Argento, La Bella Diosa, etc. Given his high success levels at stud over the past few years, he now stands at stud at Coolmore at a service fee of $70,000 plus GST.

The gelding is expected to debut at the races in the second half of his 2yo year, and will then be targeted toward the 2022 Victoria Derby in the spring, with the various 2023 Autumn Derbies to follow.

With all costs paid until March 31, 2022 and insurance cover in place to July 31, 2022, a 5% interest in this gelding is priced at $7,150 plus GST.
