Purchased in conjunction with the Maher stable at the Arqana Breeze Up Sale, he was identified as an athlete with the pedigree, temperament and physical attributes required to develop into a high-class racehorse. Having our own team on the ground, including Anna Cahill, gave us added confidence we were securing the right type of horse for both European racing and a future in Australia.
By Champion racehorse and now leading sire Kingman, whose stock continue to perform at the elite level, the colt is out of the Listed-winning Evita Peron, who is also a half-sister to Group 1 winner and stallion Equiano. It is a pedigree with quality and international appeal.
The colt profiles as a 1600m-2000m horse and will now head to Harry Eustace’s Newmarket stable, where he will continue his preparation ahead of a likely late-season debut. As a three-year-old, the focus will centre around the Guineas and Royal Ascot meetings, with the objective of providing his owners with elite racing opportunities in Europe.
The longer-term plan is for the colt to join Ciaron Maher’s team ahead of the 2027 Spring Carnival. Ciaron’s operation across Victoria and New South Wales continues with sustained success at Group 1 level.
