The Story

Golden Trigger is an exciting young colt by emerging sire sensation Ghaiyyath, identified by respected UK bloodstock agent Al Donald as a horse with significant upside.

A winner and three-time placegetter from just four starts, he impressed as a two-year-old at Dundalk before returning at three with a strong 3rd in a quality handicap at the Curragh.

An athletic colt with an efficient action and plenty of scope, Golden Trigger profiles as the ideal type to develop into a high-class middle-distance performer in Australia.

He will join Henry Dwyer, whose success with OTI includes Group 2 winner Paradise Storm. Golden Trigger enters quarantine in July before commencing his Australian career at Ballarat.

On top of the fact he’s by Ghaiyyath, the colt is out of Listed winner and Group 1 performer in Piccadilly Filly, a daughter of top sire Exceed And Excel, further strengthening an already compelling profile.
