Final shares remain in Seaimpin, a quality filly by Contributer, in training with Tony Pike.
IDENTIFIED FROM DAY ONE
We arrived at Karaka with a clear brief: to identify a quality middle-distance/staying filly with the attributes to excel in New Zealand’s classic races. In Seaimpin, we believe we found exactly that. Encouragingly, the feedback from her trainer Tony Pike since the sale has only strengthened our confidence that we secured her at outstanding value.
Phill’s thoughts can be heard in the video below, along with footage of the filly at Tony Pike’s stable.
FAULTLESS THROUGH TWO PREPARATIONS
Since joining Tony’s stable, Seaimpin has done nothing but impress during her two educational preparations. The feedback was very positive following her first taste of fast work.
“Seaimpin had her first piece of fast work in company, which can be viewed here. She worked very well and did everything correctly with a very professional attitude throughout.” ~ Tony Pike
BY GROUP 1-PRODUCING SIRE, CONTRIBUTER
During his time at stud, Contributer firmly established himself as a proven sire of elite performers, producing multiple Group 1 winners, including top-class mare Campionessa. This filly forms part of his final crop following his passing in 2024.
His progeny are renowned for excelling over middle- distance/staying trips. He looks to have another Group horse in waiting in the form of Concord Connie.
WITH TOP TRAINER TONY PIKE
One of New Zealand’s premier horsemen, Tony Pike has built an outstanding record at the highest level, with Group 1 victories in the NZ Derby, NZ Oaks, Auckland Cup, 2,000 Guineas, 1,000 Guineas, QLD Oaks, JJ Atkins, Doomben 10,000, Kingsford-Smith Cup and Canterbury Stakes.
With his proven ability to develop elite three-year-olds, we believe this filly is ideally placed to thrive under Tony’s care and fulfil her potential in the major middle-distance and staying features.
A 5% interest in this filly is priced at NZ$6,900 + GST. This figure covers all purchase and sale-related expenses, Karaka Millions race series nomination, all costs to July 31, 2026, including insurance cover.
For Australian-based owners, a 5% interest is priced at $5,750.
