Exciting 2yo Colt By Ghaiyyath
We are delighted to present a particularly exciting colt by Ghaiyyath called Alberich. Since his purchase, his work has consistently demonstrated the attributes of a precocious and naturally gifted athlete. His movement, athleticism and attitude suggest he possesses the potential to emulate the success already achieved by many of his sire’s best performers.
Alberich is a dark bay 16-hand colt with a scopey frame and a large girth, shaping up to be a most impressive individual. His sire’s credentials are well matched with his multiple Listed-winning (including out to 2400m) mother, Flying Fairies. His granddam, Bright Birdie, is by the great Sadler’s Wells, and his great-great-granddam, Twyla, is by the highly successful stallion Habitat.
Alberich’s racing plan is designed to maximise both his development and long-term racing value. The colt will remain in Eustace’s care for the next few months, with the aim of having one or two starts as a late two-year-old (late September/October). In consultation with owners, a decision will then be made whether he comes to Australia for his 3yo career or targets feature races, including Royal Ascot, in the UK.
