The Story

Delgardo is an exciting four-year-old stayer with the credentials to make a significant impact in Australia.

Rated 108 in Europe, he is a three-time winner, including a Listed Derby Trial, and has placed on a further five occasions from just 13 starts.

By Caulfield Cup winner Best Solution, Delgardo boasts a quality staying pedigree. His half-brother Dardanos won the 2026 G1 German Derby, while his extended family includes Melbourne Cup winner Delta Blues.

An athletic, versatile gelding, Delgardo will join Group 1-winning trainer Gavin Bedggood. With an initial autumn/winter campaign planned, the long-term ambition is to develop him towards Australia’s premier staying races, including the Cups.
