Au Pair

Au Pair was purchased from the New Zealand Ready to Run sale, as a result of her effortless galloping style and Cup winning pedigree. Au Pair is currently in full training and has recently completed her first Australian jump out. With an eye on the 2019 VRC Oaks, this preparation will be a prelude for a strong spring campaign.

• Au Pair is by Shocking who has sired the last two Adelaide Cup winners, Fanatic (also an Oaks winner) and Surprise Baby.
• This filly has a strong dam side containing numerous Cup winners, as well as Group 1 winners Boardwalk Angel, Coogee Walk and Distill.
• Magnificent athleticism on the track, breezing up in 10.77secs, displaying speed to go with her staying pedigree. She has a smooth, efficient galloping action.
• Currently in work with Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young who are renowned trainers of young stayers including VRC Derby winners Tavago and Sangster.
• A 5% share is priced at $8,580 (inclusive of GST) with all costs and insurance cover taken out to July 31, 2019.

At her recent Cranbourne jump-out, she jumped and travelled well under her own steam for jockey Jamie Kah who was impressed with her action and ability. Please view the trial footage below:
