Only two sleeps to go to the big race! I’m excited. The boss has arrived in Hong Kong and he was happy with the way I looked and more importantly, how I worked. Yesterday, being Thursday, I had a barrier jump out and all went well. It was a little disconcerting to have a blindfold on but ‘those who know’ recommended it. It was taken off just before they opened the barriers and I was ready to go.
The facilities here in Hong Kong have been first class. Everything seems so well organised. It needs to be as there is a lot of action happening in a relatively small space. I find it most refreshing that I am not jogged up and scrutinised daily by vets.
I’m now all set for Sunday’s race. I’ve been allocated a good barrier (2), so if I jump well, as I expect to do, I’ll sit handy to the speed and flash home strongly. That’s the plan!
