So Far Sokool provides GEN X Partnership with 1st winner!

On Friday night at Moonee Valley, So Far Sokool gave her group of Gen X owners their first winner. Gen X was launched earlier in the year with the aim of getting the younger generations involved in racehorse ownership. 3 yearling fillies were purchased for the project and the stakes-placed 2YO (who is now 3 ) kiwi filly – So Far Sokool.

Since arriving at Archie Alexander’s barn in Ballarat, she has been a tough egg to crack. Archie has tried a multitude of gear changes including completely removing all headgear. This little kiwi almost had him stumped. Luckily for us, he has worked her out, resulting in a 2nd place in a Listed race at Sandown over 1400m in November and winning her next start. We are thrilled for the owners to have already experienced a winner and we hope they have plenty more wins in store.

Let’s have a quick look at where the remaining three fillies of the partnership are.

Magnus x The Girlfriend 2YO with Amy Johnston: Has commenced her 2nd race preparation with the Mornington trainer. Amy has had nothing but praise for this filly since she entered her barn. She is very professional in her work and we should see her having a race debut early next year.

-Entourage (Pierro x Rock Success) 2YO with Aaron Purcell:  How lucky are we to have a daughter of the leading 2nd season sire and sire of the Oaks-winning filly – Pinot. Entourage has pleased the Purcell camp and is in her 2nd race preparation following a nice spell. We should be seeing her debut during the Autumn.

-Star Witness x Elle’s Decree 2YO with Matt Cumani: This filly is reportedly flying. Matt has always considered her quite a forward type of 2YO and she will be nearing her race debut early in the new year. With the success of the Star Witness fillies over the Spring Carnival, fingers crossed she can live up to her breeding!

All of these fillies seem to be progressing very positively and we cannot wait to see what 2018 has in store for the GEN X partnership.
